It doesn't have to be all about what you learned in class, but it does have to do with using the information you learned to help you on your life. There are many that do not test your skills as a writer, and in the end, you will not be learning much from those. If you can spend money on a book that tests your skills, then do so, but otherwise, go for something that uses your skills as a writer to help you improve them.One thing that most college students forget is that as a college student, your essays are meant to give information to the reader, and you should learn to deliver that information in a way that is understandable and compelling. If you cannot write a good essay, then avoid going to college altogether, and get a job that doesn't require you to write for a living.
