College Essay Examples and Writing TipsWhen you go to college, you will most likely find yourself in some kind of situation where you need to write an essay. When I was a college student, I struggled with essays for many years, and that is when I first started reading about essay samples. Most college students struggle with essays at some point, as it is such a big test of your writing ability. I would like to share with you some tips to help you with your essay writing, so that you can become more confident and proficient in the art of essay writing.First, the biggest tip to help you with your own essay writing is to research the topic thoroughly. If you are a psychology major, for example, then you will want to make sure that you know everything about psychology. If you don't know much about the topic, then you may need to get a college professor to help you. Of course, you could always just use Google to research and answer the question of 'What is Psychology?'When you are research ing a topic, it is important to start off with an interesting topic that is relevant to your subject. This way, when you start writing your essay, you will be able to talk about your topic without having to discuss things you don't understand. As a side note, be sure to pick an interesting topic, as this will help your essay not only be interesting, but it will also be informative. You want your readers to have an easy time getting your information, and if you are constantly talking about things they already know, you might turn them off from your essay.Next, try and focus on the purpose of your essay. It doesn't have to be all about what you learned in class, but it does have to do with using the information you learned to help you on your life. Once again, college is a big test of your writing ability, so if you are struggling, this can also cause you to fail your essay. Focus on the topic at hand and keep the essay short and easy to read. The last tip to help you with your essay w riting is to not be afraid to re-write an essay or two, if you need to. If you write one and it doesn't come out the way you wanted it to, then don't be afraid to rewrite it. Chances are, you didn't write it perfectly, and you can always add or change something that you think would improve it. After all, you never know when an editor may notice your error. The bottom line is that you should avoid relying on college essay samples. There are many that do not test your skills as a writer, and in the end, you will not be learning much from those. If you can spend money on a book that tests your skills, then do so, but otherwise, go for something that uses your skills as a writer to help you improve them. One thing that most college students forget is that as a college student, your essays are meant to give information to the reader, and you should learn to deliver that information in a way that is understandable and compelling. If you cannot write a good essay, then avoid going to college altogether, and get a job that doesn't require you to write for a living.
